That One Word Privacy Policy

This includes in-app game progress (such as guesses, outcomes, and related game state) stored on your device so the app can function.

We use Firebase Analytics on Android and iOS to collect app usage and performance data, including:

  • app interaction events (for example: home screen opened, hint viewed),
  • gameplay session events (for example: attempts, result, session timing),
  • technical context (for example: platform/OS version).

Network request data
The app fetches game content from our backend API. Standard technical request metadata (such as IP address and request headers) may be processed by our servers or infrastructure as part of normal internet communications.

We use data to:

  • Provide core app functionality and save/restore gameplay state.
  • Deliver updated game content from our backend service.
  • Measure and improve app quality, stability, and user experience.

  • Our backend/API hosting providers for serving game content.

  • On-device gameplay data is retained on your device until you remove the app or clear app data.
  • Analytics data is retained according to Firebase/Google retention settings and policies.
  • Server/network logs are retained for operational and security purposes for a limited period, unless longer retention is required by law.

That One Word is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
